Hello there Coffee-Loving crafty friends! It’s Kerry here and I have a confession to make. I’m having a severe case of card-makers-block. Yep, you know…That time when you feel the urge to sit down at your workspace only to shuffle things around over and over again and not create a darned thing for the life of you? Yeah, that’s what I’m facing right about now. I sure hope I snap out of it because I have a bagillion Christmas cards to make!
It took some time but I created (or tried to) this card through my block. It’s not something I’m proud of, but I thought I’d post it anyway since I know everyone experiences the Yucks every now and then.
So to create this card, I cut out a coffee bean using some dark brown cardstock then added some Gold PanPastel for shimmer…because I was thinking, shimmer will make it all better, right? Well, probably not but I kept plugging away.
Then I pleated the dark cardstock because I didn’t know what else to do with it and then added a yellow doily because it was closeby. LOL…What a wreck! Was I done yet? I was sure hoping so!
But it was really blah looking so I took out some gold silk and flicked it on the paper and yeah, that really looked gorgeous (NOT!). But, onward…
So adding some twine sealed the deal and I slapped that puppy on a card base and said WOO HOO!!!
Wan’t to give the sketch for this icky card a go? Give it a try! Yeah, even through some crafty blocks! If I can do it, so can you!
