Hello there coffee-loving crafters! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip and Share post. I think my muse is a bit confused because the vibe I’m getting from this card is pure VALENTINE-EEE! HA HA! I set out to make a yummy RED winter card but the light stamping of the sweater pattern turned out to be a bit more pink to my muse so she ran with it! That’s ok because now I have a “hugs” card I can send to someone special.
This card was pretty quick to produce so spent a little more time adding machine stitching and sparkle… I love sparkle!
To create this card, I stamped the sweater pattern (from the Joy Clair set called Christmas Coffee) onto white cardstock with Memento Ladybug ink. I stamped the mug outline over the pattern using Memento Tuxedo Black. I cut out the mug and pulled a heart image from the ever popular Hugs and Smiles stamp set. I love the swirls in this set too and thought it would make a nice-steamy background for the mug.
The background was stamped then flowers and heart were colored with a paint brush and Memento ink (with water). I also added some clear micro glitter using some glossy accents.
Adding a few gold pearls to the black dots in the swirl pattern help make this card fancy, don’t you think? I toned down the fanciness with some twine and kraft cardstock.
Such an easy sketch too! Won’t you join me in the last week of the October challenge? Just upload a card using any one of the sketches for this month into our inlinkz below! I’d love to see what you come up with!
