Good Monday morning crafty coffee lovers! Today, I’m bringing you a trio of Wizardly mini cards, perfect for sending “charming” kindness to your favorite Harry Potter fan. I’m using a set of planner stamps that translate perfectly for this card set, plus in Coffee Buzz news, I’m featuring a sweet young lady who’s launched her own little business in the Southern state of Georgia. Stick around!
I first spotted this set a few months ago while surfing Instagram. It’s from a company that makes planner products, Studio L2E. I kept eyeballing it, for months, and then finally decided I’d procrastinated long enough. I’m a huge Potter fan and I love coffee. What was I waiting for? No idea.
I do plan on using these in my planner, but wanted to make some cards with it first. I’m using a mix of coloring products, Tombow brush markers and Zig Clean Color brushes.
I’m also using Ranger distress ink for the burnished look and also on Hermione’s book above, Brushed Corduroy to be exact. Both characters were heat embossed first with Nuvo embossing powders, then colored. If you’d like links to the products that I used today, you’ll find them on my personal blog, here.
This one is in homage to Professor Snape. I kept it very simple. My papers are from the Reminisce World of Adventures Collection kit which has Universal Studio themed papers, including Harry Potter World and also from Moxxie. So, I really kept the theme running all the way from the stamps, to the paper.
Sorry for so many pictures, but I wanted you to see each one up close. I hope you don’t mind. As previously mentioned, I’ve included product links on my blog, so if you NEED these papers or stamps or anything, I’ve made it all available for you at my blog, Waving My Wand.
Next, I stumbled on an article at coffeetalk.com about a 13 year old young lady from Canton, GA. Hey, that’s close to my neck of the woods! This young lady is roasting up a storm and learning some life lessons along the way. (photo credit: littleladycoffee.com)
You’ll find Gabrielle at littleladycoffee.com where she currently is perfecting one blend; the Vienna Roast. One of the life lessons is giving back, so a portion of her coffee proceeds goes to the Ronald McDonald House of Tampa that supports All Children’s Hospital. Way to go Gabrielle! You can purchase 1 lb for around $12.00. I think these would make lovely Christmas gifts for your favorite coffee lover, don’t you? Nothing tastes better than a good blend and helping others at the same time. Thanks for being such an inspiration, Gabrielle!
That’s it for me today. I hope you have an awesome week. Drink up! Terri
