Coffee Loving Papercrafters

So excited to be joining the team this week!  I’ll be posting every other Wednesday and introducing you to various challenges that are going on and hoping that you’ll play along with me!  This time around I’m linking up to the October Viva La Verve Challenge over at Verve Stamps!  This month, the challenge is a Sketch Challenge and here it is:

It’s a beauty, right?  And here is what I created:

I thought this month being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it would be a great time to use the Just Breathe Stamp Set I bought from Verve a while ago.  I bought it because I was looking for a die that said Breathe since I picked that as my word for 2017 and couldn’t find one and when I went to Verve and saw this stamp set I fell in love immediately.  The gloves, ribbon and larger font sentiment are all from this set.

I built this sentiment using the Just Breathe set from Verve and the “But First” stamp from another set in my stash… just a reminder to sometimes take a moment and just be.  I think that’s important wherever your life has taken you… things are pretty good right now for me, but I do have to remind myself once in a while to just slow down and take stock.  Breathe.  Have a cup of coffee.  And then… Go!

Those pretty leaves were die cut using some Verve dies called Sprightly Sprigs and I love how sweet and dainty these are… perfect to cut them in vellum and add a few ready made flowers.

I chose this cup because it was just the size I wanted… it’s from the Better With You Set.  And of course I used those oh so sweet hearts from the Paper Sweeties Somewhere Over the Rainbow Stamps and Sweet Cuts sets as steam… I can’t help it!!  I love them!

The background dies are from Craftin Desert Divas (Crazy Stitched Frames – a personal fave – for the plaid layer and Fancy Frame Dies for the vellum layer) and the square is from my stash and no longer available.
