Hello everyone…Happy Thursday! Guess what?! One more sleep to the amazing Fall Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop!!! Are you ready? Here’s the detail and information about it:
When: Friday, September 15 – Friday, September 22
Time: 6 am pacific
THEME: FALL
USE: coffee, tea &/or cocoa images
Gather your supplies and get ready for the whole week of blog hop, inspirations, and giveaways!
And today, I have a Fall themed mixed media tag to share with you. I created this tag with Dream of Being stamp set from Unity Stamp Company, on of the generous Super Sponsor.

Let’s grab your favorite drinks and get crafty with me 🙂

First, I cut out the tag out of Canson Watercolor paper. I use watercolor paper becuase it is thinker and best to work with some water.
Then I scribble some of the Distress Crayons on the tag and then I dipped my finger in some water and blended the colors to crate the gradient colors background.

Next, I put the Tim Holtz Dot Fade stencil on top of the tag, spray with some water, and removed the inks of the tag with paper towel. This is one way to add some texture on the tag. Other way is to add some texture paste randomly if you have it.

I dried my tag with craft heater and then I added some splatter on the tag using the Splatter Stencil from Tim Holtz with Ground Espresso Distress Crayon. Simply put the stencil on the tag, add some Distress crayon on it and use your finger to spread it in.
Next step is to create the image and sentiment.

I stamped the girl image on a white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black. And becuase I wanted to have a bold and crisp image, I stamped it twice using the Mini MISTI stamping. I did the same thing with the sentiment.
Then I colored the girl image with Arteza Real Brush Pens and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush Pen. Then I fussy cut it with micro tip scissors.
I added the image on the tag with adhesive and then on top of it the sentiment strip. I decided to add some splatters so I grab my watercolor brush and Black Soot Distress Ink and splats some of the ink on the tag. I let it sit there for 30 seconds and then I dabbed the extra inks off with towel to create the soft look splatter on the tag.
The tag is finish. I hope it will inspire you to create a Fall Coffee/Tea/Cocoa theme project and join us for the Blog Hop tomorrow!
THANK YOU so much for stopping by today! Have a fabulous caffeinated day!
