Hello! We’re up to our tenth installment of our new feature…Design Team Q&A. We are interviewing the team throughout the summer so that you get to know them! Today I get to do my own intro 🙂 Hi I’m Chaitali Narla! I’m Amy’s co-founder for this blog and the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Facebook group. I setup the site and group initially and handle the technical details behind keeping this blog up and running. A bit more about that later. But first, in case you’ve missed it, we’ve interviewed Kathy Schweinfurth, Dana Warren, Laurel Seabrook, Dana Gong, Erin Thiem, Kerry Urbatch , Helen Gullett, Amy Tsuruta and Terri Burson.
Tell us a little more about yourself!
I am mom to an always changing, loving and very funny little gal. I am wife to a fun and supportive husband. I am an engineering manager at a very awesome company. This girl is proud to be a geek and a woman in tech! Engineering was my first hobby and will always be one of my hobbies!
When did you join the CLC Design Team?
Amy and I got together over our love of coffee and I hosted the very first Coffee Lovers bloghop on my blog in September 2014. The next hop was on her blog. Since the hop links and the number of members in our Facebook group kept growing each time, we decided to give CLC its own home on this blog!
If you are curious, this blog is a self hosted Wordpress blog and I run it on Google Compute Engine – that’s the product I work on at Google 🙂
What is your favorite coffee/tea or cocoa card that you’ve designed?
This card from the Summer 2015 hop is my favorite! I made it just 5 days before my daughter was born :O

What is your favorite color/color combo?
Hmm I like bright colors grounded in neutrals. The overall card colors vary but black is my hands-down winner for sentiments most of the time!
We would love a peek into your crafty space, tell us a bit about it!
Sure! It’s nothing fancy but you can check out the most recent look here and a few more thoughts on how I craft and blog these days here. To keep up my hobby while also handling a demanding job and enjoying family time, I made a few changes.
I’m not adding craft space photos here because I’d like to go on to show you something special for today!
Today’s special feature!
Our little community of coffee loving cardmakers has grown a LOT since I helped start it and in that time I’ve been away a lot watching my other baby grow since she was born around the same time this community was created.
So I thought it’d be fun to create a traveling journal! I got this beautiful moleskin journal and decorated the first 2 pages to show you all! My theme for these pages was uplifting, fun and coffee of course! I used one of the very first stamp sets I illustrated ever – Dare to Jump for a now-closed company There She Goes stamps. This also uses my Coffee set from Verve and an old stencil from Simon Says Stamp.
I’d like to send this off to someone else to decorate the next 2 pages and then she sends it to someone else and so on! Let’s send the journal on an adventure!!
To keep things simple for this first round, it’s going to be US only. International friends – we’ll do additional future rounds if this is successful so keep checking back! If you are interested in participating in the chain, please apply here! The form has more details on the journal chain.
I hope we can have the journal travel to all 50 states and see some beautiful artwork through it’s journey! I’d love to do an international one in future too and send it to travel around the world!! Looking forward to your applications and generating this first journal chain 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today!
Inspiration can be found on my blog and you can keep connected via Instagram and Facebook.
