Coffee Buzz With Terri – Autumn Thanks

coffeebuzzwithterri-1

I’ve got another Fall project today, featuring stenciling with my Ranger Ink Oxides.  I’m not one to wish the summer days away, (because each day is a gift) but I am sort of, kind of, alright, yes, I am wishing Fall would hurry!  I’m inspired by my crafty peers creations and I hope this one inspires you today.  Stick around for a few minutes because I’m also talking about butter coffee.  Yes!  Butter Coffee!

I’ve had the Bo Bunny Falling Leaves stencil in my stash and thought this would be the perfect time to break it out.  It’s a stickable stencil, so you can use it on glass jars or other surfaces.  I inked up my stencil with my Ranger Ink Vintage Photo and Spiced Marmalade Oxides, then splattered with water and blotted with a paper towel.

The colored and die cut owl is from the Gina K Designs Wise Old Owl set and I stamped in Memento black ink, heat dried, then watercolored with my oxides, adding Fossilized Amber distress ink to the owl.  I also used my Arteza glitter pens for a little sparkle.  I cut my stenciled frame using Spellbinders Celebration pierced square dies and created a vellum overlay that has 28 Lilac Lane sequins from the Autumn Afternoon kit.  You see the theme running through this project?  The sentiment was heat embossed with Nuvo Hot Chocolate embossing powder.  The buttons and brass leaf are also part of the 28 Lilac Lane kit.  Stop by my blog for full product links.

Now, for Coffee Buzz News……….  Have you heard of Butter Coffee?  If you have a Whole Foods store nearby, you may want to check it out.  Picnik, a young company out of Austin, TX has partnered a deal to sell their new Butter Coffee in 370 Whole Foods stores nationwide.  The recipe includes grass-fed butter from New Zealand and organic coffee, and comes in 3 flavors;

  • A mocha latte sweetened with maple syrup, cocoa powder and cocoa butter replacing a traditional syrup
  • A dirty chai sweetened with maple syrup with additions of cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom

Yum!  Retail price is 4.99 per 10 oz bottle.  Have you tried this yet?  I’d love to hear your thoughts.  You can check out the full article, here from Daily Coffee News.  As for the science and health proponents behind butter coffee, get the details at Picnik, here.
