Hello! We’re up to our ninth installment of our new feature…Design Team Q&A. We are interviewing the team throughout the summer so that you get to know them! Today we’re chatting with Terri Burson! She blogs every other Monday and her feature is called Coffee Buzz With Terri. In case you’ve missed it, we’ve interviewed Kathy Schweinfurth, Dana Warren, Laurel Seabrook, Dana Gong, Erin Thiem, Kerry Urbatch , Helen Gullett and Amy Tsuruta.

Tell us a little more about yourself!
Here’s a few things you may not know about me. I work full time for an agency that serves children with disabilities. I love chocolate (preferably belgian…yes, I’m a chocolate snob). I also love to cook and experiment with ethnic cuisine… Morroccan, Thai, even an African Stew has found it’s way to my table. My teenager has aspirations of going to culinary school and joins me in the kitchen frequently. It’s not unusual for him to be in charge of dinner and whip up an amazing meal. A few other notes of interest: I’m a native New Yorker who now lives in the South. I also am a vocally trained singer and musician and am on staff as our church pianist. I’m a nature enthusiast and love to dabble in photography. I took photography classes years ago along with art classes and those skills have truly been a help in my crafting.
When did you join the CLC Design Team?
I joined in January 2017 and am so happy to be here!
What is your favorite coffee/tea or cocoa card that you’ve designed?
What is your favorite coffee/tea or cocoa card that you’ve designed? My favorite card is pictured in this post; a shabby chic design that features Stamplorations products and DCWV papers. It’s a project that I’ve wanted to do for a while, being inspired by my Mother-In-Law’s Blue Willow china collection.

What is your favorite color/color combo?
I lean towards blues and purples, but I also love earthy, neutral tones as well.
We would love a peek into your crafty space, tell us a bit about it!
We have a small house and my craft space is shared with my husband’s nostalgia collection and furniture.

His mother used to be an antique dealer so he has accumulated some things over the years.

Then, there’s my husband’s extensive record collection. My space is limited, needless to say.

One of my goals this year was to get organized. My supplies are scattered everywhere, and I do mean everywhere, haha. Do any of you have this problem? Organization is a work in progress, but I’m getting there.
What are your ‘go-to’ crafty tools?
I love my Cricut Explore but for smaller tools, I rely on my WRMK envelope punch board, since I make odd sized cards to fit my needs. I also have a fine tipped Westcott titanium scissors that is a must for any crafter. Since watercoloring is my favorite technique, I hoard watercolor markers. I love them! My water brush is another must have item. I have the Tim Holtz detailed fine tip nib water brush and a set of Adornit water brushes. I’ve tried other brands but these are my favorites.
Yay! Such a fun Q&A, don’t you agree?!
