Hey there coffee-tea-cocoa loving friends! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another sip and share! This time, I’m coming to you from my mom and pops home in Georgia. I’ve been wrapping up my summer vacation here and right about now, I’m driving home. Since I was away one extra day longer than expected, I had to whip something up really quick so I thought it would be fun to share some treats I’ve been enjoying at my parent’s house.
Since my parents have retired, they have become quite the world travelers and I’m sooo jealous. It seems they are off galavanting to another country every time I turn around and I was just so lucky to be able to catch them before they head off again! They usually bring back tasty treasures from their adventures and today’s presentation is just one of those treasures I have been able to enjoy.
They recently returned from a trip to Scotland and they brought back a sampling of yummy teas. This collection is from a little shop in Edinburgh. The Scottish Collection includes four distinct flavors: Scottish Breakfast Blend, Whiskey Flavored, Thistle and Heather. Each tea is quite delicious! I think my favorite has to be the Thistle. It’s a golden yellow/amber color and so flavorful.
I decided to create a little gift set using one of each flavor. I placed the tea in little glass vials (so the tea can be seen) and attached the little tea tag to the jar. I placed these little vials into a glassine bag and created a matching gift card from supplies I picked up while shopping at a nearby Hobby Lobby. Now my mom has a little treat to give to someone when they go home to visit family.
Quality control is quite important so I had to sample ALL the goods. Here’s the Whisky tea… I thought it appropriate to drink it from a handle-less cup!
Whisky-ish right? Hee hee.
Since I’m on the road, I haven’t had a chance to create a sketch from my card so I’ll try to post one when I get home. Until then, hope you have a fabulous week!
