Hello there coffee/tea/cocoa loving crafters. It’s Kerry here and I’m back to share another yummy creation and sketch challenge. This time, I decided to go GOLD and related a pretty little card using gold papers, inks and embellishments.
This card features the gorgeous stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey called Tea Time. It’s a beautiful sketchy stamp set that includes several elegantly styled tea cups and a fancy-schmancy teapot. A coordinating die set is also available for this set (although I love fussy cutting it).
I started out by creating the fun handcut tag first. I brushed some stripes of Gold Silk onto the tag shape then splattered a bit of gold and Cranberry Bliss Silk over that. After finishing up the tag background, I stamped the teapot with Black Licorice ink, colored it with my Watercolor pencils then cut it out. I added a scrap of gold diecut paper as I assembled the tag.
Next, I stamped the background using the teacups with some Oatmeal Cookie ink then brushed the edge with the Gold Silk again. Mounting it onto some Gold Mirror Paper helped the background pop! You might notice a hint of Banana Cream ink in the background too.
To finish things off, I mounted the panel onto a Whip Cream cardstock, added some gold bling and attached a pretty Banana Cream satin ribbon.
