We’re so excited to have the awesome Lisa Bzibziak as our August/September Guest Designer!

Hello Lovers of the Hot and Cold Coffee, Tea and Cocoa Related Beverages! I’m Lisa, and I’ve more than likely visited your blog if you’ve participated in the hop. I love coffee, I prefer it hot even in the kinda warm AZ summer temps, and I love papercrafting so here I am! I live West of Phoenix, Arizona in the Valley of the Sun with my husband and three pups. They are my babies but I do have two grown and quite frankly, awesome sons that do not have tails and fur. They both live on the East Coast and I miss them terribly… in fact I just got back from visiting there (I will go only in the summer… no more snow for me!). I discovered this wonderful group of crafters about 8 hops ago, I believe, and I am so happy I did! I’ve learned and been inspired by so many… As for me, I started out scrapbooking 20 plus years ago and while I will still create a page now and again, I mostly I make chunky cards and dabble in the mixed media these days.
I am so very excited and honored to be Guest Designing for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog!! You don’t even know! I found out while I was away on a crafty vacation and of COURSE I had taken along some coffee items so it was easy to “whip up” a couple cards…haha! Links to the stamps and dies I used here are included below!

I won some stamps and dies from one of the Summer Hop’s awesome Super Sponsors, Verve Stamps, so I thought I’d crack them open and decided to make a masculine and a feminine card using the sets…

I just got this beautiful Authentique “Rugged” paper pad at my local scrapbook store and I thought this background paper would be perfect for this card…
And by the way… I did use gold and glitter on this man card… my husband would expect nothing less…

And I mixed sentiments from a couple of the new Verve sets to create my sentiment along with the cups and steam.. love that little steam stamp. You may notice I burned my vellum layer a bit, but I decided I liked the way it looked and just might do that again on purpose.

For the paper I’m unsure of the maker of the paper I used, but once I unpack, I will find it… but I can tell you I got it at my LSS also, and it is beautiful! The backside is gorgeous and you’ll be seeing that soon too!
I used one of my favorite layering dies from Craftin Desert Divas on both cards… and the circles are from MFT, but I think they are retired..

I just love the sentiments (and there are soooo many awesome sentiments on these new Verve sets) embossed in gold and the way they shimmer. And did you catch the pretty little steam hearts from Paper Sweeties?
I hope you enjoyed my projects for today! Please do let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be seeing you here again soon…
