Tuesday crafTEA Time – Stretch your stamps

dana-graphic

Hello, Coffee Loving friends!
It’s Dana here. You know, I love critter stamps and I’d like to share one more lovely critters I created with uncritter stamps. Here is what I came up with.

Do you know ‘Soot bunnies’ from Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki, Studio Ghibli? Soot bunnies are also called dust bunnies or soot sprites. Generally, they moved coal into the furnace in this film, but today they are invited to my tea time to serve teaware for me 🙂

These are soot bunnies! (Images are from google search) They become very happy when they get sugar stars. Aren’t they super cute? I love them!

I started by making my own soot bunnies. I stamped dotted circles from Altenew Halftone stamp set with Hero Arts Ombre ink pad (Soft granite to black). I then draw their arms and legs with Copic multi liner and fussy cut them using scissors. I embellished googly eyes to each of them and I love how they turned out.

Next, I stamped other images from Altenew Tea Time stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black. Illustration of this stamp set is super nice! For coloring, I mainly used Altenew artist markers and some Copic markers. Come to think of it, this is my first alcohol marker coloring for Coffee Loving Project! Recently I added several alcohol markers to my stash and its coloring is so much fun!

After cutting the colored tea time assortment, I sponged dye inks from MFT on watercolor paper for background. I then stamped some leaves from the same stamp set using dye ink.

Then, I adhered all elements of this card on the watercolor panel with glue and foam tape and stamped sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black. To finish, I mounted watercolor panel to A2 sized white card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and hope you enjoy this card.

Love,
Dana
