Hello!
Dana, here with a new Installment of Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Grab some coffee or tea and read on for some awesome Alphabet Sticker ideas!! If this is the first time you are seeing my feature or need a refresher, click here for my first post, it gives a little background explanation on my feature!
So we have hit each of the 4 sections in the magazine and its time to start back with the Creating with Product section. Next up in that section is Alphabet Stickers. Now technically I didn’t use Alpha Stickers on my card! You might remember that I am now living on campus at a university and had to really downsize my stash and Alphabet Stickers were something that didn’t make the cut. But I still wanted to cover them, as I know a lot of you have them, they are great for cards and scrapbook pages!! Chan Vuong gives several awesome ideas on using Alphabet stickers and I hope this idea will encourage you to use them on your projects!!
- Emphasize a sentiment
- Make a ransom note look
- Use the stickers to mask a sentiment
- Add your own embellish/doodle to the letters
- Make a border with the letters
- Create a background with the letters
Since I don’t have any alphabet stickers here, I decided to make my own alphabet stickers with dies. Some stickers are glittery, dimensional or patterned, so I decided to use some washi tape too. I placed several rows of gold stripe washi tape on some white card stock. Then I placed Winnie & Walters Typecast: Cary Letters & Numbers on top, holding them in place with some washi tape.
The pattern on the washi works really well as you can’t even tell its washi tape! I even made my own little comma with a scrap piece. I trimmed some foam tape and added them to the back of the letters so later I could add them to the card.
Next, I stamped the cute Mimi from Penny Black’s Mimi in Paris. I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color her, using: EB1, EB2, EB5, EB6, FS3, FS6, FS9, HB2, HB3, LG3, LG5, LV2, IG2, IG4. With sharp scissors, I fussy cut her out.
I found some purple polka dot paper and added it to a white card base. Then I added the alphabet letters to spell out Oh, Frappe! and then Mimi with foam tape too. Last I added a few purple pearls.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope today’s post encourages you to get those Alphabet Stickers out and on your projects!!
Dana
