Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Partners in love and in crime… can you guess of whom I’m talking about? Yes, that’s right, I’m talking about the famous coffee burglars, Bonnie “Mocha” and Clyde “Cappuccino”. Hot off the press: we can rest now, as they’ve been captured along with a big sac of golden coffee they stole! Ha ha!

I was looking at some frames by Crate Paper, thinking of what I would do to enter the current CASEing DT #11, inspired by an awesome card from teamie Andreea Raghina, when the word “captured” in one of those frames rang a bell… so I decided to create this fun little scene :).

I stamped the coffee sac from Tim Holtz “Fresh Brewed” twice, one from watercolour paper that I heat embossed with Liquid Platinum EP, and another one stamped with SSS Khaki ink onto Kaisercraft faux burlap texture paper. Trimmed just the sac and glued on top of the other piece, the heat embossed, showing the golden coffee beans. After this I stamped two cups from YOY stamps, colored them and wrapped some twine around both cups. Glued two moustaches I had (pins from Staples) just for fun.

Behind the frame is a CaS (Create a Smile) die cut piece of watercolour paper stamped with some grey clouds from HA August Kit. The vellum paper golden numbers symbolize a doubt we all have, with a special emphasis to coffee lovers: how many years in jail for such a despicable felony?
