Happy Wednesday, happy spring, happy coffee, happy everything …!!
Andreea here and I am excited to be back on the blog today. I have a tea card to share with you.
The month of March is my favourite of the year, not only because I was born in March but because during this month I always enjoy seeing the nature coming back to life. Those who know me know that I love spring flowers and blooming trees, especially the cherry blossoms. They were my inspiration for the card I am sharing with you today.

With the help of the Spellbinders die “cherry blossom” I have die cut the tree branches. I used several layers of diecuts and glued them together for more dimension. The top layer is cut out of woodgrain kraft cardstock by Ellen Hutson, the texture is perfect for tree branches. I added a bit of colour to the cardstock by blending some “gathered twigs” distress ink on them. The set comes with several dies for the blossoms too, but I had these mini paper flowers which I thought worked perfectly for my branches.
I created my background by blending some “spun sugar” and “picked raspberry” distress inks, to create that cherry blossom pink orchard view. To create the idea of fresh spring green grass I blended some “twisted citron” and “lucky clover” distress inks. I used a scalloped die by Simon Says Stamp to cut this panel and adhered it over the main panel with some dimensional foam. After I added the branches, I have adhered the mini flowers to the branches.
For the tea cup I used the Altenew vintage tea cup stamp set and die. The cup is gold embossed with Hero Arts embossing powder. I added a bit of color using distress ink and some gold Nuvo embellishment mousse.
I finished the card by stamping and gold embossing the sentiment and adhering the cup to the panel using some foam.
I am ready for spring and blooming trees!
I am also ready and excited for the upcoming Spring blog hop, only 2 weeks away! I hope today’s card helps inspiring you, as we love to see you all participate in the blog hop.
Wishing you all a sunny week!
Hugs,
Andreea
