Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hey there coffee/tea/cocoa loving crafters!  It’s Kerry here with another installment of Sunday Sip and Share!  I’m taking a little detour from a card today and am featuring a tag this time.  Hope you enjoy!

I just recently received a fun Mother’s Day set from Joy Clair Stamps and there was a TEA POT in it.  I was so excited I just had to test it out!!!  I pulled out my Misti and started inking it up.  It took about three impressions to ink it up to my liking!  I selected a nice green color for the teapot because of the little fern-like sprays on the lid and spout.  After stamping and cutting out the teapot, I cut a tag out and added some flowers to the background using some light yellow ink.  These flowers worked perfectly to “spring-up” this tag!

This teapot has a beautiful “Mother” sentiment on it but I wanted to make this tag more universal instead of just Mother’s Day, so I took some artistic liberties and covered the sentiment with some stamped posies from another Joy Clair stamp set called April Showers. I added a bit of sparkle to them and added some hand cut/colored leaves to finish the pot off before attaching to my stamped tag.  I also added a pretty sentiment using the gorgeous Paisley Bouquet set.

Adding a few doodly images helped me add a bit of whimsy to my tag.  I love it when I can add some of my doodly fun!  Speaking of fun, there is one more week left to play along with our Sunday Sip and Share sketch challenge.  There are several sketches to pull from so take your pick!  I’ll be announcing one lucky winner next week, so play along!!!  Here’s today’s sketch…a TAG.  Have some fun!  Make sure to add your link below!
