We are so excited to welcome Melissa Lane as our January Guest Designer!

Hi! I’m Melissa Dawn Lane, Jesus follower. I’m super excited to be guest designing here at Coffee Loving Cardmakers. I’m not a coffee drinker myself, I love tea, but my husband and children all enjoy drinking coffee very much.

I’m a military wife of 22 years to my best friend, Chris. My husband & I are from Lincoln, Maine in the U.S.A.. We were high school sweethearts and have 4 children whom we’ve homeschooled. Since 1995, my husband and I have lived in 10 different ‘permanent’ duty stations. I’ve enjoyed gardening, photographing, cooking, and mainly, making many houses into homes. From Maine to New Mexico and from Turkey to Belgium that has been my goal during the past 22 years. Now, my family and I are getting ready for our final move. My creative journey into card-making started only a few years ago. Around 2010, my friend, Kelly, introduced me to blogging and then in 2012, my friend, Cindy, introduced me to card-making. I very much enjoy combining the 2 hobbies at my blog Honeybee Lane. Whether it is a super CAS 1-layer card, or something messy and mixed media, I enjoy it all. I’d be very happy if you would come and visit me on my blog.

Here are the four, fairly CAS, cards that I have to share with you this week:

I made a foam stamp, using a CUTplorations die, and stamped the cup with steam. I learned this technique from a Jennifer McGuire in one of her recent videos.
