Hello everyone!
Today is National Cocoa Day in the US! I’m not in the US but I’m close, just a tiny amount of miles apart… :). The important note here is that my heart is celebrating with you, my virtual crafty friends!
What kind of card is the most appropriate for a celebration? I would risk saying a shaker card, and so I have one.
I got a little carried away with sequins. The word COCOA became almost unreadable… I had to shake the sequins away to the opposite side when taking a photo :).
I started using a HA/BG background stamp – herbs n honey star background – a personal favorite, heat embossing with iridescent sparkle EP, and then “smooshing” different colors and inks: Distress, Dylusions, Ecoline, Tombow. Cut the panel with the biggest rectangle from W&W Katharine Cutaways.
After this, using the same die set from W&W, cut two tags, the bigger one from the background to create the shaker window, and the smaller from white cardstock where I stamped this cutie pie from a Spanish brand, “la vida en SCRAP” – Frío de Bufanda is the name of the set. Die cut the letters COCOA from a WPlus9 Folk Art Alphabet Die and a Melody Snowflake from SSS. The sentiment is HA Coffee Cup Tags set.
Wish you a warm and cozy National COCOA Day!
