Sunday Sip and Share…Tea for Me, Tea for You

Sip and Share

Hello there Coffee Loving Friends!  It’s Kerry, back for another Sunday Sip and Share.  I hope you’ve had a great week. I’m prepping for the Holiday Hop so I’ve been shopping around for some yummy goodies to blog about.  Of course, there are some yummy treats I have to taste test first…So this weekend, taste-testing it is!

For today’s project, I decided to do something simple and much less elaborate than most cards I make.  I guess you can say, I’m focusing on the hop!  Anyway, I still LOVE how today’s card turned out and of course, I created a quick-and-simple coordinating sketch to accompany it!  Hope you enjoy!12-3-clsipTo create this card, I started out by selecting a fun paper color combo.  I chose Cosmic Grape and Pool Play cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I cut the paper to create a square card base then got to stamping the background using Cosmic Grape ink and a fun set from Whimsy Stamps called “Need More“.  I love the look of the hand-drawn cup and thought it would work perfectly with some tone-on-tone coloring.  12-3-clcsipAfter the background was stamped, I colored the cups using a few Copic Markers (BV00, V12 and E11).  I also used a white Gelly Pen and a Micron pen to draw additional doodly marks on the images and pattern.  I also added a the diecut (Spiral Notebook Border Die) that I got for a steal of a deal $1.00 during one of their sneaky dollar-deals section recently.  12-3-clcsip-cornerI cut the front of the stamped card base so I could create a white sentiment panel.  It’s similar to a floating panel but a bit more simple.  After stamping the sentiment with Black Licorice ink, I was able to tie a little sparkly pom pom and a little Sparkle Drop onto the card using some Black Licorice Twine.

Easy, Peasy. Right?!

Now lets move on to the sketch.  It’s a square-ish card design this time with the cut panel for the sentiment giving a little POP to a very simple card design.  12-3-clcsketch

Ok!  This is easy enough to play along right?  Won’t you join us in playing along with the sketch?  I hope you give it a try!  We’d love to see your creation!
