Good Morning coffee-loving friends! I’m back with another yummy Sunday Sip and Share. I hope you enjoy!
This week I received my fabulous order from one of our fab sponsors: Whimsy Stamps (Did you see-and take advantage of the $1 dollar steals like me?) and I had fun playing with one of my new sets! The first set I inked up is called Coffee Break. I love the mug and little embellishments in this set and couldn’t wait to do some paper piecing! I don’t do it much anymore but I was inspired to use this technique again from another coffee-loving friend…Debra.
I started out by mounting a piece of fun printed paper from the MME Away We Go collection onto a whip cream card base. It’s an old 6×6 pad but I love it nonetheless. After that, I cut a little peek-a-boo diagonal slit along the edge so I could add a little bit of acetate. I also hand cut a little scalloped border to help soften the edge a bit. I love the colors and the prints in this pad so I grabbed a little chevron print to contrast against the dotty stripes.
Stamping the “pennant” was next. I used some Cool Pool ink from Fun Stampers Journey to apply the sentiment. I think this color coordinates perfectly! Next, I attached my Black Licorice stamped mug/cozy. My last touch was to add a a little stamped heart button (colored with a red Copic Marker) that was glossed up with Journey Glaze with some Journey Twine. And that was it! It’s the perfect little coffee pick me up, don’t you think?
Like the card design? Check out my coordinating sketch! Join the fun too! We’d love to see how YOU use this week’s sketch in your card designs. If you decide to play along, please use our LINK UP below and remember to include the hashtag #clcsipandshare in your social media posts so we can find it easily! 🙂
Have a GREAT week!
