Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Today I am sharing an encouragement card, which I actually created for my best friend, who also happens to be my sister. She is currently doing her PhD in Brussels and this autumn she also starts teaching at the same University; needless to say how proud of her I am. Even her creative mind and wild personality can do with some encouragement from time to time and a coffee card seemed appropriate.

You know my close friendship with the color purple, right … think similarly for my sister and green. Well, for today’s card is teal as I do think these colors work really well together.

I used the beautiful Reverse Confetti cups, both stamp set and coordinating die. One cup is die cut “in mirror” from lilac cardstock. The cup for which I used the “Just brew it” stamp set is stamped using Tsukineko Versacolor ombré ink in berry colors – stamps beautifully! I applied some “peacock feathers” distress ink on the background, for some added interest.
The sentiment works perfectly for encouragement cards, it is by Reverse Confetti as well, part of “For the love of latte” stamp set – I love the sentiments in this stamp set, so clever.
A bit of twine and some enamel dots are embellishing the main panel, which I added with some dimensional foam to the “Audrey blue” cardstock base, by Simon Says Stamp.
