Hello there Coffee Loving Friends! It’s Kerry here with another Sunday Sip and Share post! The fall months are some of my most favorite months of the year! I love the colors and the cool air so much! I decided to continue our embrace of FALL by creating another fall card. Take a peek at my HUGS card. It headed out to a crafty friend who just lost her father. It’s during these rough days that I wish I could just jump through the phone and give BIG squishy hugs. This card (and some crafty therapy treats) will have to do.
I pulled out my Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves ink pad and inked up the Unity Itty Bitty stamp called Mug of Hugs. After inking the white cardstock I attached it to the inside of my Kraft card base. I drew a little swoop with my pencil onto my kraft card base and trimmed it off. Then I added some black faux stitching with a black marker. After that, I stamped some Unity Christy Tomlinson Vintage Quilt background stamp onto the cardfront. I attached some acetate to the top flap of the card to create a seamless front and to allow the card to stand securely. It also helps the image peek through.
To finish off the card, I added some olive green ribbon with a simple bow.
I send YOU and my special crafty friend BIG coffee hugs…
Like the layout of my card this week? If you do, you can join us in creating something yummy with it too! Here’s a sketch to get you started (or in my case…It’s the finishing touch!). Remember, if you do create something inspired by the sketch, please share it with us here. When sharing on social media, make sure to add the hashtag #clcsipandshare so it can be found easily! 🙂
