Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello there Coffee loving friends.  It’s Kerry here for another Sunday Sip and Share.  I’m excited about this weekend because as you’re reading this,  I’ll be (crossing fingers) finishing up a yummy coffee with a fellow Coffee Loving Stamper…A new stamping friend you may also know named Debra Davison.  I met her right HERE (and on the FB page) through one of our many coffee loving hops and through Hetty’s monthly card swaps and a while back we planned a get together!  I attended a fun stamping event in Debra Davison’s stomping grounds this weekend and we decided to get together for coffee!  It’s so fun to meet virtual friends IN REAL LIFE, don’t you think???

ETA: WOO HOO!  We spent THREE HOURS getting lost in coffee and inky conversation!  It was so fun!!! I’m not a fan of selfie or friendie taking but, I just HAD to take a photo and share!

I decided to celebrate this gathering by using the sweet stamp I received from her as part of some winnings for the recent Summer Coffee Lovers Hop.  I love the stamp and the goodies she sent along sooo I decided it was the perfect time to use it!…Here we goooo!

I just LOVE this image called Friends Cup by Stampendous!  I stamped it with Versafine Onyx onto Kraft cardstock then colored the image with Copic Markers (YR14 Caramel, BG34 Horizon Green, G00 Jade Green).  After coloring, I cut out the image and distressed it a bit with a dry Versafine Onyx pad.

I selected some of my most favorite 6×6 printed paper pad to coordinate with the image.  I have TONS of printed paper in my stash and just have the hardest time cutting the sheets down.  I thought I’d challenge myself starting this week- to use up some of this paper!!!  Isn’t it yummy?!  It’s My Mind’s Eye “Away We Go”.  I used my sewing machine to stitch a bit of black thread and to create some stitch marks along the edges of the paper.  After attaching the jute to the paper, I assembled the coordinating papers onto the card base (Bazzill)

I just love the color combo in this paper pack!!!

Alrighty!  So after creating my card, I set out to create a sketch that matched!  My sketch binder is filling up quite nicely with these sketches and I’m enjoying making some cards to send off to fellow coffee loving friends!  I hope you are too!
