Hello hello. Have you had your coffee today? So let’s get started with some fun early in the morning :).
To make this card I used a sketch, yep, you heard well, a sketch… I’ve been “training” myself to use sketches more often, but a good picture, especially a good mood board, will always be my favorite in what comes to get my mojo flowing. Still, this time I decided to use one of Kerry’s sketches (#2) and I loved it!
I started with a Memory Box stencil and Dylusions ink sprays in shades of blue. It happens that the darkest blue leaves some residue, so I had a happy accident. I die cut some SSS flat bottom clouds from this panel so I could inlay white clouds, but I didn’t notice that the die was left with some ghost blue rays and they ended up transferring to the white clouds, which was great to give the illusion of some shy light coming through the clouds. I’m not sure if you will be able to see it…
I partially die cut the sun from a PTI die, and then used a bunch of fun embellishments: an oldie but goodie flair button from Two Peas in a Bucket, some emoji stickers I forgot I had from SC / Hello Forever, a tiny stamp that I love from SSS, a Scrapiniec chipboard “hot”, a heart chipboard from Simple Stories and a few W&W sequins. Phew! Is it an eclectic card or what? :). Oh, I forgot to mention the two stripes of designer papers from Bo Bunny “Lemonade Stand”!
That’s it for me today, hope you have a great week!
Thank you for stopping by.
