Coffee Loving Papercrafters

It’s week 3 with the wonderful Dana Warren as our Guest Designer!

Hello, Coffee Lovers! I’m here with my third card as the August guest! I can’t believe August is almost over!  Well, since summer isn’t quite over yet and before we pull out our fall patterns and stamps I have a bright flowery and nerdy coffee loving card to share with you today!!

I started with Simon Says Stamp What’s Brewing and pattern paper from American Crafts. I picked out some hot pink flower pattern paper and stamped the mug on it. A little fussy cutting and a black marker to color in the coffee in the cup and time for a …. coffee break!! LOL!!!

Okay, after the break I went through my embellishment stash I knew I had some coffee embellishments that I have been hoarding, I mean saving for the perfect project!!! I also pulled out a chipboard camera and wood glasses.

I played around with the layout of the mug and embellishments and when I was happy all I need to do was glue it all together!! I used a stitched rectangle to cut the green strip pattern paper and added it to a white card base.

I cut a strip of white card stock and stamped the Friendship Has Its Perks sentiment, then I added it to my card. Last I just adhered all the mug and embellishments, BUT when I was just about ready to glue on the eyeglasses I thought… hmmmm…. what if?? I thought it would be cute to give the glasses a nerdy look! I just cut a very thin strip of white paper and wrapped it around the nose of the glasses!! I loved it so I glued it on and then adhered the glasses to my card!
