Hello, dear friends! This is Andreea and I am back today with a card for the tea lovers.
I was chatting with a very dear friend of mine the other day and she reminded me she doesn’t drink coffee, she prefers tea. The next morning, Sting plays on the radio “I don’t drink coffee, I take tea my dear …”. That was probably one too many clues that I had to make a card for our “legal alien” tea loving friends. Truth be told, I love tea too! But for me tea has more of a recreational purpose, whereas coffee is medicinal most times.
The lovely tea cups are part of the “Coffee helps” stamps and coordinating dies set by Verve Stamps. I have embossed them in gold on watercolor paper and colored them with the zig markers. I added a bit of color on the background by blending in some distress ink using “picked raspberry” and “broken china” colors, and I created some splatters using gold glitter on water splatters. I mounted the cups on a chipboard photo frame, by Heidi Swapp. I added a couple of shiny hearts, a bit of twine and the card was ready.
I hope you are enjoying today’s card. I do promise to have more tea and even cocoa and hot chocolate cards, after-all they all provide our little moments of happiness.
