Good morning coffee-loving friends! It’s Sunday and that means I’m here to share a fun card and sketch I’ve created.
I’m in love with the images in the Hipster at Heart set from Hero Arts! When I first saw this fun set in the Hero Arts online shop, I knew it was a set that I had to have in my collection. I love the coffee cup and the beans but I REALLY love the hipster vibe the whole set provides. I’m not much of a hipster myself, but I can really appreciate all the fun elements in this awesome set!
So let’s take a look at the card I created using this fun Hipster at Heart set from Hero Arts:
I thought this set provided all the elements needed to create a fun collage card. I love a good collage so I set out to stamp almost every single image in the set with Black Onyx Versafine ink, create a fun background, and then build a collage of yumminess on top!
To create my background, I applied PanPastels in a swiping pattern then applied some Windsor and Newton Masking Fluid with a paint brush. After that dried, I applied some more PanPastels over that then peeled the masking medium off. I used a cloth to rub the PanPastels in so that the background was more blurred and soft. When done, I stamped my most favorite images onto white cardstock with Versafine Onyx ink. I added some color to some of the images with PanPastels too. To finish off the background, I splattered some Fun Stampers Journey Silver Silk and Bronze Silk over the piece.
The final part was to create the collage by layering all the images (and some graph paper pieces). I also added a few pearls and a bit of glossiness to the camera lens, the gems and the mason jar cup using some Journey Glaze.
Yummy! I assembled the collage panel onto some black and white polka dot paper from my stash and added a strip of gold sparkle washi (Target) to finish the layering off. Jute fibers here and there helped to add more texture to the piece. I mounted the collage panel onto white cardstock and then attached it to a gray card base.
Once finished with my card, I set out to create the sketch…
If you’re interested in playing with the sketch, we would love to see your creation (s). Just link your coffee-tea-hot chocolate-loving cards up to the inlinkz at the end of this post. You never know, some coffee loving goodies might be awarded to one lucky sketch player! When sharing on social media, please include the hashtag #clcsipandshare for easy reference!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my card. See you again next week for another Sip and Share!
