We’re so excited to announce that Dana Warren is this month’s Guest Designer!
Hello, coffee loving cardmakers!! My name is Dana Warren and I’m so excited to be August’s guest this month!! I’ve been card making for 12 or so years now and have been blogging since 2011. Over the years I have been on several design teams, published and played in lots of fun challenges!! The best part has been the great people I have met and gotten to know over the years!! I am so thrilled to be here, thank you so much, Amy!!
I was very lucky during this past summer hop and won a stamp set from A Jillian Vance Design (Thank You, AJVD!!!) and shortly after Amy asked me to guest. And that’s when the idea for today’s card came to me! I wasn’t sure it would work out, you know, sometimes things look better in my head then on paper!!! But, luckily not in this case, I think it turned out great!!!
The A Jullian Vance Design set is called Hello My Name Is Too and I stamped the Hello My Name Is name tag multiple times on a piece of white card stock. With the alpha stamps, I spelled out Coffee in each tag, to make it easy I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig.
Next, I used Avery Elle’s Custom Panel die to cut a panel from my stamped background. This die made it very easy, I could move it around finding the best placement of the stamping for my card. I adhered the panel to a white card base and then rounded the corners.
The coffee cup is from Paper Sweeties Handmade With Love stamp set and matching die. I cut the coffee cup and stamped it with brown ink. The tiny Perk Up! Is from Stampin Up Morning Cup stamp set (retired, I think) and is heat embossed in white. I also stamped and die cut the steam from the set. Next, I cut a strip from black card stock and added it to the card with foam tape. Then I added the coffee cup!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! And thanks again to Amy for the invite!! See ya next week!!
Dana
