Hello coffee loving papercrafters and Happy Wednesday!
It’s Andreea! It’s been a little while, but I am so happy to be back amongst caffeinated friends! Today is the first post of my weekly feature “A cup of happiness”. It would make me really happy if you would meet me here every Wednesday for a coffee and a chat about cardmaking and … happiness. As I was writing this post I became acutely aware of the spelling Happi-NESS … somebody must have figured this out a looong time ago .
Since this is going to be a virtual coffee/tea chat, I thought the “Cyber Café” stamp set by Paper Smooches works perfectly.
For today’s card, I created my own background by stamping the images on kraft cardstock, using shades of purple (no eye-rolling please ) and chocolate. To make the colors more visible on kraft, I double stamped them on white ink, as this also creates a nice shading effect. I used the “Postal edge frame” die by Simon Says Stamp to diecut this background.
The cute coffee and tea cups are part of the same stamp set: one is stamped in ombre purple ink by Hero Arts, the second one is stamped and white embossed on pattern polka-dot paper, and the third one is stamped on white cardstock, since it already has a nice pattern, using the same ombre ink. I fussy cut the cups and mounted them on the main panel.
Isn’t this sentiment (part of the stamp set) the perfect one for our communication channel? I used white embossing powder on chocolate cardstock.
