Good Morning! Today I am starting the new post series called Thursday Coffee Break with Helen. I will be posting every other week. I hope you can take a little break with your favorite coffee/tea/cocoa and enjoy!
On today’s card, I use Sketchy Coffee Cup and Coffee Happy from STAMPlorations.
First, I created the background for the cup. I added some Fire Bricked Distress Ink, Mustard Seed Distress Ink and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink on a piece of watercolor paper then I blended the colors with wet paint brush. Then I dried it with my craft heater for speedy drying, but you can let it air dry, too.
When the background was dry completely, I stamped a heart and a cup from Sketchy Coffee Cup set with Memento Luxe Espresso Truffle. I dried them again with craft heater again. Then I cut them using micro-tip scissors.
On a piece of vellum, I stamped the sentiment from Coffee Happy with VersaMark watermark ink pad and added some Zing! Black Glitter embossing powder and heat it with craft heater.
Then I added the vellum strip on the card base (from American Craft assortment card set) with Tombow Vellum adhesive runner and then finally I added the cup on it with 3D foam tape, and added the heart on the cup with thin 3D foam tape.
