Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Howdy, Crafters, and welcome to our next February Guestie post where you’re going to get to learn a little bit more about our star of the day, Amber S and her blog, Pieces of Me!

Hi coffee lovers! I’m so happy to be a guest today. My name’s Amber and I blog over at Pieces of Me where I share mostly cards but also the occasional scrapbook page, tag, mixed media piece or art journal page. I’m a mostly stay-at-home mom to 3 boys ages 5-11. When I need to escape from all the teststerone I hide away in my coral pink craft room and play! And I’ll admit to having at times both a cup of hot coffee and a glass of iced tea at the same time while crafting. ‘Cause a girl need options right?! In my spare time I enjoy collecting elephants and cardigans. He he – exciting right? In the summer I really let loose and garden. Just wait until I learn to knit and then I’ll really earn that bad girl reputation. 😉

I couldn’t quite decide on a favorite past hop project so I had to pick 2. They both happen to be from the very first hop in the fall of 2014. The first (pictured above) is a card with tons of layered paper, which I love, and a hand-drawn coffee cup because I didn’t have any mug stamps or dies at that time.

And the second project (above) is a little painted canvas that sits on a shelf in my craft room. I had so much fun painting it.

And I have a new card (yup, above!) to share today. I used a lovely Tim Holtz Iced Coffee stamp and lots of water and Distress inks. Yum. And now I’m thirsty so I’m off to go grab a coffee…

Hee hee! Amber has quite a sense of humor to go along with her wonderul crafting talent, doesn’t she?! All her projects are absolutely beautiful, and they have given me some GREAT inspiration to try some different looks in MY card making; I hope they have for YOU, too!
