Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hi! my name is Michele, and I’m the owner and CEO of the blog Crimson Owl Creations! I’ve lived and traveled all over the U.S. and China, but have now settled down in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with my hubby and our four feline sons! I became a “professional craft blogger” after graduating with my Masters in Visual Communication from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), and needed something to keep me busy while I job hunt.  Craft blogging really took off, and it didn’t take long before I joined my very first design team! Thanks to the wonderful goodness of the crafting community, I’ve been really fortunate to be a part of even more design teams, winning a few design challenges, and being invited to a few guest appearances! When I was asked to be a part of the Coffee Loving Carmakers Blog, I was SO honored and thrilled! Thank you so much!

I created a brand new Coffee Love card, just for the blog today! I am always trying new things and techniques, but I love working with layers of color and paper. I have really been influenced by the American artist Charlie Harper, and my designs often try to capture nature in a minimal realistic way. My style is colorful and unique, and always features die cuts in an exciting way! Today’s card reflects my special “love” relationship with coffee, especially white chocolate mocha, available from my favorite coffee chain!

I started playing along with the Coffee Loving Carmakers Blog Hops early on, and my favorite is the one I created for the December 2015 hop, which had its own pocket for a coffee gift card!

When I’m not card designing, I love reading British mysteries, traveling, golf, the beach, spending time outdoors, and Southern style tailgating at University of Alabama football games with Mr. Crimson Owl! We had a GREAT season in 2015!
