Happy New Years Eve! I can’t believe we’re wrapping up 2015! It’s time for Thursday Cuppa Joe, so of course I made a fun New Year’s card!
I’m using mostly Paper Smooches (PS), with some help from Lawn Fawn (LF) and various inks! I started out by stamping the balloons from the PS Birthday Bash stamp set onto X-Press IT Blending Card Paper (die cut with the largets die from LF’s Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables die set) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink; then I colored them with Copics. I then stamped all the confetti with various inks: Memento London Fog, Lawn Fawn’s Sunflower, VersaFine Onyx Black.
The PS Hot Concoctions stamp set has the coffee cup image, and I stamped it once, and I stamped it a second time using a mirror stamping image technique; I found a good little video by Rachel Kleinman to show you the easy process:
I colored the cups with Copics; then I stamped the numbers from the PS Alphadot stamp set with Hero Arts Silver Shadow ink. I die cut the black glitter paper with a die from LF’s Scalloped Rectangle Stackables die set. I painted all the colored balloons with my Zig Clear Wink of Stella Brush Glitter Pen Marker.
I then stamped the sentiment with “happy” from the PS Sentiment Sampler stamp set using VersaFine Onyx Black, and “New Year” from letters in the PS Alphadot stamp set and Lawn Fawn’s Lobster ink. I die cut the silver frame from silver glitter paper and the longer die from the PS Bookplates die set; then I cut the frame shape again out of white foam, and glued them together for thickness.
