Michael Trent, our February Guest Designer is back with us!
Hello, everyone! It’s Michael, again, back for Week 3 as Guest Designer for the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog. This week, we are paper-piecing a coffee-to-go cup using the Sketched Coffee Cup digital image from Stamplorations.
Even though Valentine’s Day is over, we still need cards throughout the year to let those coffee-loving people in our lives know how much we love them. Right?

- I made a top-folding A2 from red cardstock, and I adhered a piece of white cardstock to the inside for a message.
- I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using the Hugs & Kisses Cover-Up from MFT. Then I used a variety of Distress Inks from Ranger to blend color in the center. I wrapped red and white baker’s twine around it and adhered it to the card front.
- I printed four of the Sketched Coffee Cups at 50% and fussy cut two of the cups.
- I paper-pieced them using scraps of paper from my stash, keeping the “love” theme going.
- I fussy-cut the cup wrapper from the other two cups, traced and fussy-cut them using red cardstock, embossed them, and adhered them to the cups.
- I adhered the two cups to the card front using foam tape and added two tiny clothespins to the baker’s twine.
- Lastly, I printed one of the sentiments from the Word Snippets: Valentine’s digital kit from KCS Designs by Kim, layered it on a piece of the red cardstock, and adhered it to the card front using foam tape.
Here’s another idea using the paper pieced cups but this time I used scrap paper for my card front, and I left out the baker’s twine.

I hope you enjoy this week’s card and appreciate you stopping by the blog today. To view more of my work, follow me on my social media channels: Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
Enjoy the rest of your day. Until next week…
Hugs from Brasil…
