We are so excited to announce that Randy Nguyen is our Guest Designer today!
My name is Randy Nguyen and I am from Texas. I have been creating cards for almost 6 years and enjoy every moment. I love creating scenes and telling stories with cards.

Hello crafty friends, Randy here from Nguyen In Doubt, Make Cards. I am so excited to be guest designing for the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog.
Today, I am sharing a card I created using the Death Before Decaf and Bury the Body stamp sets from Miss Ink Stamps. I wanted to create a scene where the skeleton woke up for a fresh cup of coffee.

I had to do a little masking to combine the two images from each set. I first stamped out the image of the skeleton drinking coffee. I then stamped it again onto masking tape and fussy cut out the image.
I then layered the masking image over the stamped image and stamped the grave image. On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped out the 2 mounds of dirt and the tombstone from the Bury the body set.

I then fussy cut out all of the images and used Copic Markers to color the images.
To create my background, I took an A2 panel and used the Night Sky Stencil and to ink blend with Uncharted Mariner, Seedless Preserves and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides. I then splattered the panel with white watercolor.
I took another A2 panel and die cut out a grass piece from a die set that I have in my stash. I blended this piece with Rustic Wilderness and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides. I splattered this piece with green watercolor.

To assemble my card, I adhered the grass piece with liquid adhesive, followed by the image of that were fussy cut out. I then stamped the sentiment directly onto the panel with black ink. I then added my last image of the dirt mound onto the panel with foam tape.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Thank you so much for checking it out and happy crafting!
