Hello friends! Hope your weekend has been a good one thus far, and you’re having brew-tea-ful weather. 😁
I have a tea card to share with you today.

I started with a black card base. For the background, I used a die from Super Sponsor Kat Scrappiness. It’s a set called Stitched Fancy Rectangle. I used it to cut out a piece of mixed media paper, and another from vellum.
I inked the entire front of the mixed media paper with distress oxide ink, Shabby Shutters, then stenciled on [distress oxide ink Peeled Paint] the leafy swirls; a stencil from super sponsor Miss Ink Stamps. I added the vellum so the bkg was more muted; thereby, the pattern on the mug and the bkg were no longer competing with each other and making the card “too busy”. I attached the vellum using 2 way glue around the edges, sparingly. Under, where the mug would be, I used double sided tape.

The mug is a die set called Cup of Java (coffee) from Super Sponsor Stamp Simply. It’s also cut with mixed media paper that I inked with distress oxide ink in Dried Marigold, and then stenciled over with distress oxide Spiced Marmalade. Using a stencil from super sponsor A Colorful life designs, Pretty Flower Grid. BTW, use code VanessaFan10 for order savings from there.
The sentiment is from Super sponsor Jane’s Doodles stamp set Brew-tea-ful.
CHEERS!
Vanessa
