Happy Monday! Today, I am having a coffee date with Claire Lamb (@ink_share_claire). To be honest, Claire and I have coffee dates pretty often, since she is my daughter.

This is us waiting in the drive thru line at Starbucks, lol.
Claire is also an amazing card maker. Her coloring inspires me! We will be using products from super sponsor Newton’s Nook Designs.
Check out her card:

Claire used the following products to create her rainbow mini slimline card:
~Newton’s Nook Coffee Silhouettes Die Set
~Newton’s Nook Bookmark 2 Die Set
~Concord and Ninth Stitched Polka Dot Card Front Die
Isn’t her card so pretty?
Here is what I created:

I wanted to make a gift card pocket that I could hang on a coffee bottle. My thought was that this would make a cute birthday gift for a fellow coffee lover. My color palette was inspired by a recent guest designer, Nancy Kern-Leppek. I used the following to create my gift card pocket:
~Clear Glaze pen (on the sentiment and the coffee beans)
To make the gift card pocket, I cut two stitched hearts out of teal card stock, and one out of white. I wanted my holder to be strong enough to hold up nicely on the bottle. I adhered one of the teal hearts completely to the white heart. Next, I adhered another teal heart carefully and only added glue about halfway up the heart, leaving space for the gift card to slide in. Then, I adhered the handles inside the holder. Lastly, I die cut a small heart from the die set and stamped “From” on it and adhered it to the back of the holder. This ended up working out really well! I think this makes a fun presentation to the recipient.

Hope you have a coffee date with your bestie or daughter…or if your lucky like me, both.
Hugs and mugs,
Mary
