Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hey cardmakers, I’ve got a CAS (clean and simple) coffee card to share with you today, inspired by the Spring Lavender drinks at Starbucks, featuring products from Super Sponsor Catherine Pooler Designs.  I know we all love to find extra ways to use seasonal designs, and I really wanted to transition a Fall collection to Spring. The CPD “Fall Calls for Lattes” stamp set was the perfect set to do this.

Believe it or not, I struggle with making CAS cards. It took a great deal of restraint not to throw everything (including the kitchen sink) at this card, haha. The beautiful thing about CAS cards is that they’re relatively quick to make. It took longer for me to talk myself out of adding paint splatters, patterned paper and all manner of sequins, than it did to create the card. I can’t begin to tell you how much I went back and forth in my head. I know some of you can identify!

My colored image was inspired by the Starbucks Lavender Frappuccino with Matcha Cold Foam. I only used 3 Copic markers to color up my stamped images; YG11, BV000 and V15. I also used my white gel pen to add lots of tiny dots for the “cold foam”. I’m way overdue for a coffee date with my bestie, so I have her in mind for this card.
