Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello Coffee Lovers!!

It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash! We are looking for inspiration from Paper Crafters’ Handmade Cards and Card Creations for Him! Both are from 2013! So grab your cup and settle in!

Today we are looking at Paper Crafters’ Handmade Cards. We have made it to the next section, Stickers & Tape! This is an excellent opportunity to use up some of that washi tape and stickers that I have! I’m sure you can relate, too!!

I started my card with a plan, but as I created it changed a little! First, I pulled out the Taylored Expressions Abstract Accents Stencil & Clear Combo set. I had an idea in my head to use these stencils, stamps, and washi tape together. It didn’t quite work out that way! For the colors I first picked out three washi tapes and used those colors to pick out similar Catherine Pooler inks. Then I added one neutral color, grey.

First, I started with the stencil shapes using my CP inks to color them in. I used the same colors to stamp some elements from the set. I thought I would then add the washi tape to the inked and stamped background, but… I really liked how the background looked and I didn’t want to mess it up!

So instead, I pulled out Taylored Expressions Perk Up Card Kit, it has small coffee dies. I added the washi tape to white card stock and used the dies. I thought I would only use one of the cups, but one cup got the edge of the washi tape and I liked the look of it.

Next, I played around with the cups and finally decided to place the three of them equally across the card. For a sentiment, I used Coffee Create Repeat, which is also the name of the set which is from the card kit. Last I added the panel on a grey card base.
