Hello Coffee Lovers!!

It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash! We are looking for inspiration from Paper Crafters Handmade Cards and Card Creations for Him! Both are from 2013! So grab your cup and settle in!

Today we are getting our inspiration from Card Creations for Him! We are in the Hip & Urban section and the next four cards in this section are all for the guys but are all very graphic with shapes and colors.

To start I needed to pick out some colors to use, I always turn to The Color Catalog by sarahrenaeclark.com!! This is an excellent resource for all types of coloring! I have The Color Catalog along with Volume 2 it’s so easy to open them on my Ipad and pick out a color palette!

For my card today I checked out the keywords and I was happy to see the keyword Urban. I picked out palette #195 for my hip and urban card for him! The colors include dark red, bright red, and light and dark aqua colors, and black. I picked out colors that matched my Catherine Pooler inks.

First, I pulled out some watercolor paper and ink blending all the colors except black. Then I added some splatters of water and dabbed it away to get lighter areas. While that dried I used the ink pads on white cardstock and then used most of the dies from Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Mug Additions and the mug from Winter Mug Dies.

After cutting everything I got to mixing the colors and adhering the candles and party hats together. The mug received an aqua wrap and I added kraft cardstock at the top of the mug for the coffee. I also added tiny clear rhinestones to some of the candles and party hats.

Next, I cut the sentiment from black card stocks and added it to my inked background. Then I added the cup, candles, and party hats. Last, I added the panel to a black card base.
