Brew & Craft Your Stash – Die Cutting

Hello Coffee Lovers!!

It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash! I’m doing it a little differently today! Tomorrow is the start of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Blog Hop!!! Yay!!! For a little pre-hop celebration I decided to create a holiday coffee card using My Favorite Things new coffee card kit. I’m sure the kit is sold out, but you can still pick up most of the elements. I used some other MFT items to make my coffee shop all decked out for Christmas!

To start out I picked out the pattern paper that makes up the wall and floor of my little scene. I used the Floor to Ceiling Pad. Then I went to town die cutting! I picked out colors that I thought would go with my wall/floor and of course, got them out of my scrap drawer. I used: Be Your Own Barista, Pots & Plants, Bistro Basics, Make a Sign. For the fun Christmas elements, I used a die set that went with a Christmas card kit from last year, and unfortunately, I don’t see it on their website. It’s a bummer because it’s really the right size!

I would suggest assembling what you can as you die-cut! The Coffee Shop stamp set is used on the signage for the scene. I just did some quick white heat embossing.

After everything was cut and assembled I played a little bit with the placement of everything and added the die-cut string of lights to the potted plant, shelf, and drinks menu.

I addhered the barista bar, potted plant, and floor sign with foam tape, along with the items on top of the bar. For the sign and shelf above the bar, I adhered directly to the pattern paper. For the sentiment, I used the Holly Jolly Hello from the Snow Globe Singles stamp set that was part of one of last year’s kits and isn’t on their website anymore.

It was a lot of fun to use the Coffee Shop Kit and dress it up for Christmas! I hope this inspires you to get your coffee dies and stamps out and get ready for the Hop tomorrow!!
