Hello Coffee Lovers!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash! We are looking for inspiration from Paper Crafters Handmade Cards and Card Creations for Him! Both are from 2013! So grab your cup and settle in!
Today we are getting our inspiration from Card Creations for Him! We are in the Hip & Urban section and the next four cards in this section are all for the guys but are very graphic with a father’s day card, some fun play on words, and the card I got my inspiration from a bold sentiment!
I started my card with some old alphabet dies from the now-closed Winnie & Walter and picked out a graphic pattern paper pad from My Favorite Things. I picked out several patterns and die cutted a lot of letters to be able to spell out coffee.
Next, I picked out my background pattern and cut it with a stitched rectangle. Then I used foam tape to adhere the coffee sentiment. From the Honey Bee Stamp Perfect Blend stamp set, I heat embossed Hug in a Mug on black card stock. As I was doing this I happened to glance at the rest of the letters I die cut and I wondered do I have enough to spell out another coffee? And if I do I can just heat emboss another sentiment while I’m at it! I did have enough letters so I did up another sentiment that says Life Begins After, and I decided to go ahead and make another card, rather than waste the letters. The likely hood of me using any saved letters would be slim, so might as well do it now!! LOL!
I easily cut another pattern paper rectangle and added my second coffee letters to it along with adding the embossed sentiment. Then I adhered both sentiment rectangles to two different colored card bases. At this point I was tempted to add more, but stopped my shelf: Less can be more and these are for a guy so less is better, lol!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to break out your alphabet dies and try your hand at making a fun card (or two) for a guy in your life!
Dana
