We so happy to have Carrie back with us today!
Greetings to all the coffee-loving paper crafters out there! This week, I had a mess of mixed media on my desk and decided to use a few items to create a simple little coffee card.

I began with some mixed media paper and used a blending brush to add Distress Oxide inks onto three areas of the card. I spritzed each one with some water so that the ink would react forming droplets as it dried.
To create splatters, I flicked Distress Oxide sprays into each of the circles. I used my hands to mask off each of the spaces and ended up with a mess all over my arms, but it was worth it.

When all of that was set, I grabbed a lovely coffee cup image from Simon Says Stamp and stamped the images with espresso ink onto each of the circles. Aren’t those little hearts in the center adorable?
Over the top of the images, I added a texture paste design. I mixed opaque texture paste with Espresso spray to create that lovely coffee color.

Once everything had dried, I attached a frame to the front of the card and called it complete. I truly love how this one turned out with the soft colors and coffee-colored phrases. With all the renovations taking place, I wasn’t able to make a video this time, but I will be sharing a live tutorial in my Facebook group.
I hope that this project inspired you. I can’t wait to see what you create!
Miss. Carrie
