Hello and welcome! I am so glad you dropped by today! This is Shanna from Caffeinated Craftiness, back with another Mug Shot Monday! Today I am sharing a fun Christmas-ish card! I am joining in over on the Caffeinated Christmas card challenge blog with this cutie too, for more information on the challenge be sure to check out the Caffeinated Christmas blog!
The theme for the challenge for February was hearts—seems easy enough right?? I over thought this one forever on how to incorporate hearts into a “Christmas” card!! Well finally I remembered my Nested Heart Dies from super sponsor Trinity Stamps and this card came together pretty quickly afterwards.
I pulled some pattern papers and a coordinating red together and die cut the panel and 2 hearts. My featured image is called Miss You a Latte from MFT (currently out of stock, but is listed here at super sponsor Butterfly Reflections Ink. I used no line coloring technique and my Copic Markers to color her. I totally forgot how much I love no line coloring!! I grabbed a sentiment from super sponsor Crackerbox Stamps called Wishing Wonderful Year. After stamping the sentiment onto white cardstock I matted it onto the same red and adhered it to the card panel towards the bottom. The 2 die cut hearts were adhered together and then glued above the sentiment. The Latte Girl was added last off center, allowing the hearts to “ground” her a bit.
Added the panel to a A2 card base and the card was complete! I hope you enjoyed my project today, and be sure to join in the challenge fun as well!
That wraps up my first official Mug shot [of espresso] Monday post! I will be back in a couple weeks with another crafty shot! Until then you can always find me and follow along with my caffeinated adventures over on instagram @caffeinated.craftiness.
