Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello and welcome!
I have a mixed media “Afternoon Tea” card for you today featuring a background made with lots of “Pixie Sparkles” from Cosmic Shimmer.

The stamp set if a large full card size stamp set from Creative Expressions called “Afternoon Tea.” Here’s a closer look at my card:

I took a piece of watercolor paper and spent about an hour adding 6 different colors of Cosmic Shimmer “Pixie Sparkles.” In case you are not familiar with them, they are powders that you sprinkle on watercolor paper, then add water (I used a spray bottle) and the colors jump to life with lots of metallic look and shine to them. It’s hard capture it in the the pictures. I dried the paper in between each layer of color to add depth to the background. After that I stamped the image and cut it down for the card front.

When I cut it down, I cut off the top butterfly part of the stamp, so I added one butterfly die cut to cover the chopped off one on the top right, and then added a 2nd smaller one near the cup of tea. The butterfly dies I used are also from Creative Expressions, called “Butterfly Delights.”
