Hello Coffee Lovers and Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone is having a fun and safe Thanksgiving, eating all the good stuff!!! I thought I break a little from the usual and do a quick and easy post today! Maybe you are taking a break from those pesky family members, or trying not to breathe too deeply after eating all that turkey and stuffing! I hope you like this quick distraction in your day!
I made a just-for-fun card inspired by Catherine Pooler’s Holiday Color Combo found on their Instagram page, inspired by Starbuck’s Holiday cups!!! (see, it really is coffee-related in all the ways!!! 🙂 LOL) As soon as I saw this color combo I knew I was going to try it out!! Probably will make some more cards with these colors!!
I started with Nostalgic Season and Mug Shots Stamp sets. The mug with the flowers I thought was mod enough to go with the Nostalgic stamps! So I just started stamping with the color combo colors: Sweet Sixteen, Do-SI-Do, Rockin Red, Deck The Halls, Garden Party.
For the mug, I used my Altenew Alcholol markers, the colors I have matched pretty well. Then I fussy cut out everything.
On the white card base, I masked off the bottom half and very lightly inked Do-SI-Do on the background. Then I pressed Rockin Red into a strip of white cardstock and after it dried trimmed it down. I added it to the card base with foam tape.
Then I used Deck The Halls to stamp the sentiment and then arranged all my stamped images along the red strip. When I was happy with the arrangement I adhered them with foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by! If you get to do any crafting today or over the weekend give this color combo a try!
Dana
