Hello Coffee Lovers!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash and time to get our crafty inspiration from one of two magazines!! We are looking for inspiration from Paper Crafters Handmade Cards and Card Creations for Him! Both are from 2013!
Today we are getting our inspiration from Card Creations for Him! The next page in the Smart & Geeky section includes four cards. This group has two cards that are space-themed and two that were a superhero/comic theme. Since I have already done a space-themed card I went with a superhero/comic theme for my card today.
First, I had to dig out the comic-themed stamp set that I knew I had somewhere! LOL! Luckily I found it! It’s from Avery Elle, an older and retired stamp set called Super. But, you can also check out the Superheros stamp set as it would work, too!
I stamped the skyline, spotlight, and two of the action speech bubbles. Next, I used various colors to ink blend color in each of these images. Then I stamped the Happy Birthday in the spotlight and the action words in the speech bubbles. I used the matching dies to cut everything out. For a little added dimension I added white Liquid Pearls to some of the skyline windows.
While my windows were drying I used Trinity Stamps Coffee Mug Die and cut a cup from blue cardstock. I cut the gift card slot from white cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the mug.
Next, I added the skyline to the front of the mug with foam tape. I trimmed off the excess carefully around the edge of the mug. Then I added the spotlight and action bubbles with foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to try to make a superhero-inspired coffee-themed card!!
Dana
