Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello everyone!

What an honor to be chosen as a designer favorite! I LOVE coffee, and I LOVE the hops, and I am thrilled to be guest designing today.

I live in Central Nebraska with my husband and rescue Coon Hound, where by day I am the Executive Director of our Community Theater. I am an early morning stamper with an eclectic style; I love clean and simple and mixed media, and everything in-between, so today I created an “in-between!”

I chose the Caffeinated Terrier from The Rabbit Hole Designs for my images, along with a mixed media gel print background created with acrylic paints. The background design reminded me of percolating coffee bubbles, and I created the rest of my card around that.

This little pink polka dot tag was in my box of “unfinished projects,” so I grabbed it for today’s focal point. I stamped my terrier and sentiment in VersaFine Clair Nocturne (my most favorite black!) and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored in the image with Copic markers, and popped it up on the gel print.

I found an embossing folder (Cuttlebug) that matched the print, and ran that through my Big Shot for a more textured look on the card base. I mean, who doesn’t love oodles of polka dots?! To finish off the card, I tied some pink twine (Really Reasonable Ribbon) in the top of the tag.
