Hello coffee loving friends! Helen is here today. It is half way through the week and let’s grab your favorite drink and take a little coffee break with me.
In the Spring time, I always love to sit outside at our porch enjoying a cup of coffee and looking flowers and fluttering butterflies. Inspired by those, today, I made this cup of bloom mixed media tag and want to share with you all.
What I ordered goodies from companies, they like to send a thank you card and instead of I threw them away, I kept them and recycle them. I used on of them to make this tag today. I cut out the postcard with Stitched Tags Nesting CUTplorations Die Set.
I added some of the yellow and orange acrylic paints on the tag to create the layer of background. After the paint dried, I added the Make Marks 6 ARTplorations Stencil on the tag and using small blending brush I added the black pigment ink it.
I adde thin layers of Gelatos (lime, cotton candy, coconut) on the tag and blended them with finger. After that, I added some splatters of white acrylic paint and water. I dried the background with craft heater.
I got this STAMPlorations Coffee Spring/Summer Kit during our Spring/Summer 2021 Blog Hop!!! They are one of the Super Sponsors. I am in love with this kit and I guarantee you will love this kit, too!!! You can grab it now while supplies last with 51% OFF regular price (Kit Only)!!! But you also can buy them individually, too.
I started with stamping the cup of bloom image from the A Cupfull of Blooms Stamp Set on the laser cut shape. I one of the A Cupfull of Blooms Laser Cut Shapes on my mini MISTI. I used the magnets to secure it in place. And then I line up the stamp on it.
I inked up the stamp with Nocture VersaFine Clair ink and then I stamped it. Since I used pigment ink, I didn’t have to stamp it twice to get crips stamped image. You can use any type of ink on this laser cut shapes.
Here’s how it looks. Pretty and perfectly fit. After stamping the image, I dried the pigment ink and then colored the image with Arteza Woodless Watercolor pencils and using Tombow blending brush pen to blend in the colors.
After the coloring done, I dried the watercolor paint with craft heater and I added the cup on the tag with permanent dries-clear adhesive. I put couple stamping block on top of it to hold it down to dry.
I stamped some of the butterflies from the Brave One Stamp Set on a white cardstock with pigment ink pad and then colored them with the watercolor pencil and Wink of Stela Glitter Clear brush. I dried the butterflies with craft heater and then fussy cut them with scissors.
I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the cup with pigment ink and dried it. And then I added the butterflies on the tag with mini glue dots.
That’s my mixed media tag today. I hope you all enjoy it, too. I link up this tag at STAMPlorations April Stencil Challenge and Never-Ending Anything Goes Challenge. Check out all the challenges at Super Sponsor STAMPlorations Blog this month.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful caffeinated day, my friends!
