Hello hello hello coffee loving friends! Helen is here. It is Thursday and let’s take a little coffee break with me. Grab your favorite caffeinated drink and relax.

It has been a hard Winter week for most of us here in US, especially those who got hit by the winter storm. I hope you all can find ways to stay warm and safe inside.
We all need something to boost up our good mood, right? How about a cup of coffee? Oh YES…Coffee works for me, how about you?
I took sometimes in my craft room during in these snow days. This CAS coffee card is one of the projects I made.

I started with created the watercolor wash background using Distress Oxide inks. I used 140 lbs watercolor paper. I smooshed the inks on craft mat, spray with some water, and smoosh in the watercolor paper. I did it several times to build up the colors. I dried the inks on the paper with craft heater. I added some water splatters on it and dabbed the water off with paper towel to add extra texture on the background.
I cut out that watercolored background panel with the Zen Coffee 1 Cover Plate Die from STAMPlorations. So… when I removed the cutting plate, I found out that all small piece still stuck together. I did not remove thm but instead, I covered all the back with large double-sided tape. I added it on a top-folded white card. I used bone foldee to press the panel down to the card, just to make sure the small pieces glued well.

Using mini MISTI, I stamped this larde sentiment, Good Mood – Typografia Coffee, with Over Coffee and Icing On The Cake ink pads from Catherine Pooler – Neutral Collection.
After that, I trimmed the sentiment with paper trimmer. And then I used the distresser tool to distress the edges of the sentiment panel and I added some of the Icing on Cake ink around the edges using foam dauber.
I added the sentiment on the card with 3D foam tape. And final step, I added some of thise white pearl gems to embellish the card.
That’s my CAS coffee card today. It si pretty easy to make, right? I hope this boost up your good mood today. Thanks for stopping by our blog today. Have a caffeinated day!
